Agreed but it’s not centralized by design I guess is a way to look at. BCH is centralized by design, lightning has the ability to be completely self sovereign or centralized depending on the use case. WoS for Nostr is not terrible bc it’s reliable, and typically dealing with small amounts of Bitcoin dust being sent back/forth. And it’s very easy to onboard newbies.
That said, I think people who have real money and dive deeper down the rabbit hole will opt to hold their money in a self hosted node. For instance I use WoS to send zaps (usually less than a 500 sats) to people here but will spend my bitcoin for real purchases via my node. Just seems to be the most effective model on mobile at the moment. Once Zeuspay comes out I’ll be making the move to that though
